This condo renovation is a masterclass in modern sophistication, seamlessly blending organic textures with sleek, minimalist surfaces to create an atmosphere of refined comfort. Throughout the home, a consistent design language of vertical wood fluting establishes a sense of rhythm and flow. The living area serves as a stunning focal point, where a floor-to-ceiling marble-veined feature wall is punctuated by a floating white console and warm timber accents. This interplay of materials transitions into bolder territory in the dining and bedroom areas, where intricate lattice ceiling panels and laser-cut wall motifs inject a sense of artistic luxury.
The design balances vibrant splashes of turquoise and cerulean blue with the grounding warmth of rich wood grains. In the private quarters, the use of warm wood flooring paired with a striking canopy bed and textured wallpaper ensures that the space feels both grand and serene. Every corner of the home reflects a thoughtful marriage of high-end aesthetics and everyday livability, from the seamless built-in storage to the decorative screens that provide both privacy and visual interest.
The homeowner desired a home that felt both spacious and "luxe," with a particular emphasis on unique architectural details. To achieve this, we leaned heavily into texture and pattern. By installing vertical wood fluting along key feature walls, we effectively drew the eye upward, creating the illusion of higher ceilings. We then elevated the design by introducing custom-designed ceiling lattices and intricate wall screens, which act as functional art pieces that define different zones within the open-plan layout.
One of my favorite challenges was integrating a bold color palette without overwhelming the space. We used vibrant blue tones as "anchor" points in the dining area and bedroom, balancing them with the neutral tones of the marble and the natural warmth of the timber. In the living room, we focused on a cleaner, more minimalist look with the marble feature wall to maintain a sense of calm and openness. The result is a home that feels incredibly personalized and premium—a true reflection of the homeowner’s vibrant yet sophisticated lifestyle.
