Guided by a palette of crisp whites, soft greys, and warm wood tones, this condo renovation breathes a sense of calm and order into urban living. The home embraces a Modern Minimalist aesthetic, where every line serves a purpose and every surface invites a moment of stillness. At the heart of the dwelling, the kitchen stands as a testament to sleek functionality, featuring handle-less cabinetry and expansive white countertops that catch the natural light.
To break away from a purely clinical look, the designer introduced a stunning marble-veined backsplash, adding a touch of organic luxury and movement to the culinary space. The flooring, finished in a light oak grain, runs seamlessly throughout the home, grounding the airy white walls with a sense of earthy warmth. In the storage areas, subtle vertical grooves on the wardrobe panels add a rhythmic, tactile quality, proving that simplicity doesn’t have to be boring. This is a home designed for clarity—a clutter-free sanctuary that feels both expansive and deeply intimate.
The homeowners were looking for a complete transformation that maximized their floor plan while maintaining a "light and breezy" feel. In a typical condo layout, space can feel tight, so our primary goal was to create a visual expansion. We achieved this by utilizing a monochromatic white-on-white scheme for the upper cabinetry, which allows the storage to "melt" into the walls, making the ceilings appear higher.
One of the unique challenges was the galley-style kitchen. To ensure it didn’t feel like a narrow corridor, we opted for integrated appliances and recessed handles to keep the walkways completely clear of obstructions. We also focused heavily on "smart storage"—including deep, tiered drawers and a dedicated pantry nook—to ensure the countertops remain pristine and clear for daily use. By balancing the cool grey tones of the lower cabinets with the warmth of the wood-look flooring, we were able to create a space that feels modern and "clean" without ever feeling cold.
