RESIDENTIAL
A Timeless Modern-Classical Sanctuary
Interior Designer's Insights
This condominium renovation is a masterclass in modern-classical elegance, where traditional architectural details meet sleek, contemporary finishes. The home is defined by an all-white, airy palette that maximizes the sense of space and light. In the heart of the home, the kitchen and dining areas feature exquisite shaker-style cabinetry adorned with vintage-inspired gold handles, creating a look that is both nostalgic and sophisticated. A grand crystal chandelier hangs above a pristine white dining island, acting as a sparkling focal point that bridges the gap between the culinary space and the cozy, leather-furnished living room.
Throughout the residence, thoughtful details elevate the everyday. The living area is anchored by a stately white fireplace-inspired TV console, set against a backdrop of soft wainscoting that adds architectural depth. This theme of refined texture continues into the master suite, where a plush tufted headboard and classical wall moldings create a five-star hotel atmosphere. From the specialized vanity station with professional-grade lighting to the spa-like bathroom featuring a mix of stone-textured tiles and dark charcoal accents, the home serves as a seamless retreat of luxury and comfort.
The creative vision for this project was to marry the timeless charm of Victorian-inspired "Modern Classic" design with the clean lines required for a functional, modern lifestyle. The homeowners desired a home that felt bright and regal yet remained practical for hosting guests. To achieve this, we utilized a high-contrast palette—predominantly white to keep the spaces expansive, punctuated by dark accents like the black kitchen sink and deep-toned curtains to provide visual weight.
One of the standout features is the extensive use of mirrors in the entryway and living zones; these were strategically placed to reflect natural light and provide a "boundless" feel to the common areas. In the private quarters, we focused on sensory luxury. The walk-in wardrobe and vanity area were designed with boutique-inspired aesthetics in mind, using recessed cove lighting to highlight the cabinetry and create a soft, flattering ambiance. This project is a perfect example of how traditional motifs, when paired with modern "smart" storage and lighting, can create a home that is as beautiful as it is livable.
